Friendship in the virtual world:

Stephen is an 18-year-old college student. He has many friends in college or you can say in his real world. However, when he returns home, he just puts on the PC button and connects the Internet. Since there are various social networking sites, he is also a member of one of them, but this is his virtual world and unlike the real world when he enters in the community his name is displayed as Rocky.

He has many friends from different countries, as he is very fond of knowing their culture, their tradition, cuisine, etc, etc. However, one fine day he met with a girl in the same social networking site, and she is from his native country. He does not know whether her name is virtual or real but after two days, he decided to reveal his real name to her. But when he asked her the same question, her answer was, “what’s in a name man?”

Stephen is not bothered about knowing her name but he sometimes wants to know the same. However, he thought many times about it and then came to the conclusion that she might want to be in the virtual world, so far as this networking site is concerned. But Stephen’s thought was different. He was happy before he knew the truth. He was happy because he got a good friend, but he did not know that some people don’t want to come in the real world just because they think that virtual friends are like strangers.

I want to ask you friends, do you agree with her thought or what Stephen thinks is right? Please jot down your comments.

Is your relationship stuck?

You are on the verge of break-up. Caught in an ostensibly unbounded roller coaster of guilt and retaliation. However, you can visualize the faults and the misapprehension that has erupted in between you and your partner. And if you can’t stop it right now then the result might end up in a divorce. This situation is common and most of the time due to communication gap – one fails to maintain the relationship bond for a long period of time. One can otherwise change the attitude in some way or the other to look after the relationship.

The concept of true manliness has gone too far, as today’s women’s world is far more elegant and full of life than ever before. This is really good, as with this attitude, both of you can understand each other well. However, the scenario has changed and the couples often play the difference game. The game, which is played every time to prove oneself as better or the best that results in trouble and chaotic relationship. In other words, one can say it’s an ego clash that creates a void in the relationship.

Why this difference game? The main purpose why they play game is to draw a boundary line so that each partner would not dare to go beyond the so-called comfort zone. But wouldn’t it be better to learn and develop a mutual respect for each other? This attitude would definitely help you accept the equality concept that is hidden in your relationship bond. Visualize this real love that exits – feel it from the core of your heart. This attitude will only develop if and only if you realize that you are equally hurt, just as frightened, just as powerful and feeble.

To understand each other well, it is inevitable to discover the semblance that exists between you and your partner. Also comprehend that you and your love have got the same intimacy and respect for each other. If you think it’s an easy task then you are mistaken. Though its not impossible, but it takes time to realize the same attitude in the real world. First of all, you will have to change your attitude of believing statements like: “she is selfish,” “she is very possessive,” “she does not like my freedom,” etc. The whole idea is to develop a mutual attitude that allows you to give permission and accept the truth.

However, it is true that we are not accustomed to empathy – but we have to accept it for the sake of our love, and emotional affiliation. Feel the beauty of love, caring and affection that you share with each other. Make your bond stronger with effective communication, appreciation and respect. Experts’ say that most couples visit to their clinic for counseling have got common problems i.e., lack of communication, and lack of mutual cooperation.

John Grey, the bestselling author of “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus,” has written very magnificently why Mars and Venus collide. In the book, the author has reflected the most common cause of relationship break-up. According to the author: “The unprecedented levels of stress both men and women are experiencing is taking a toll on our romantic relationships. Whether single or in committed relationships, we are often too busy or too tired to sustain feelings of attraction, motivation, and affection. Everyday stress drains our energy and patience and leaves us feeling too exhausted or overwhelmed to enjoy and support each other.”

However, life goes on and one has to cope up with these subtle problems. Then what is the best way to make a healthy and fruitful relationship? There are ways and if you exercise these very common things in your life then you can be one of the happiest persons in the world. In any relationship, respect, appreciation and forgiveness play a crucial role. If both of you understand each other you can cope up with any kind of situation. Develop a mutual bond and discuss the issue. Put your point before him or her and sort out the problem. Many a times, it has been realized that partners don’t communicate and keep things in their mind. As a result, a general misconception crops up in between them and disputes and misunderstanding arises out of them.

To maintain any relationship, the only thing one actually needs is love. So, cultivate this precious gem for the one you really care for. Spread the beauty of love and happiness and set up a new and ever lasting bond with your partner.

Nameless

I nest a dream of thousand truths
But I don't know what it's called

My eyes exchange with yours
A vow of honest emotions
But I don't know how it's named

Days and nights are passed
With ageless smiles and tears
But I don't know when it's defined

There's one thing I know
That we share a love of eternal bliss
It has no beginning, no end

A Heart-to-heart Chat with "Me"

I: Hey, here comes the nocturnal creature! what's up with you?
Me: Nothing great, same old story. Phoenix born and reborn as usual...
I: Which way this time?
Me: On the bank of the endless river...
I: Ohh, life?
Me: No, love
I: Well, what's the difference?
Me: Just like day and night
I: So your dreams being shattered?
Me: I rebuilt them
I: Sounds good
Me: It's great
I: You happy now?
Me: It never felt greater before
I: Aha, seems you're about to fly your dreams
Me: No, I ride them
I: Okay, roots spreading stronger?
Me: Deeper in to the earth
I: How about flirting with the stars?
Me: They are my eyes
I: Sippin' through your heart?
Me: Umm, Smirnoff sounds familiar...
I: What about the sun and the moon?
Me: My true companions
I: Game for tea?
Me: Coffee is the all-time hit
I: How about your nocturnal dos?
Me: Black Sheep Clan walks with midnight hues...

This is how the endless tete-a-tete goes with "me"...beyond all ages, all dreams, all limits. Do you talk to "you"?

For the Friend that You are...

Dear You...

Take my hand and travel with me
I would like to go to the moon with you
Dance to the tune of raindrops
Touch the golden sky...

Steal my glance and see through my eyes
I wanna catch those glitters scattered in the stars
Chase after the dragon flies to my heart's desire
Fly through the nightingle's croon...

You must be thinking what I'm upto this time. Just singing my own tune and be lost.. isn't it nice to get lost in one's own dreams? When it comes to my dreams, you know it means "us". Think of the house we'll make home together. Dreams live their own lives...

"What's sweet to you - honey, sugar?"
"No, her lips"
"And what's soft?"
"Her hands"
Sweeter is her smile
Softer is her heart...

Okay, your apple is the sweetest of all. No doubt about it. But dear friend of mine, you need to treasure your dreams. And your apple too. After all, sweet things sometimes come to your threshold and ring your doorbell. Don't leave the hand alone and let the smile fade. As a friend I confide in you.

A Dirty Scar on Love

This is about a girl I know. A simpleton at heart, her honesty shines brighter than the sun. And her heart purer than gold. She met a guy, fell in love and life started singing a beautiful note, until it took an ugly turn...

She loves the sky. Maybe that's why there're stars twinkling in her eyes. She loves the color of the rainbow. She believes, true colors never fail to shine. Her heart dances to the tune of raindrops. There are dreams in her eyes, dreams that she knows she can let come true. What makes her look so beautiful? Her honesty. After all, it earned her some of the best jewels as her friends. She's sincere with her friends. She treasures her friendship. She thinks beautiful, that's how life is beautiful.

Then she met him. She had a new dream. Everytime he came in to her mind, the world around her seemed lovely. Love gave her a totally different meaning. He's so caring. He understands her problems. Feelings he shares with her are so full of life. Sometimes she thinks she'll go crazy, she can't handle so much love. Does he feel the same way?

The sun seems to shine bright and high, unaffected and unemotional to the feelings studded mortals. It's 3.30 in the afternoon. Gosh I can't read any more in this scorching heat. Who can bear it? But I don't mind a little evesdropping...

He: "Give me some idea man. I've already spent enough"
Friend: "Beta you have to spend something if you are lookin' for something"
He: "Arrange a room for me yaar"
Friend: "Monday ko mera room le le. I can give you that. After you, I'll also make a try if possible..."
He: "But I don't think she'll agree"
Friend: "She considers me as a good friend and trusts me a lot. I don't think she'll mind"
"And start keeping condom with you now :-)
you can need it anytime"

He: "Okay"
Friend: "Is this her first time as well?"
He: "No, she is experienced"
Friend: "Aren't you gonna do everything with her if you got the chance?"
He: "Of course"
Friend: "So don't worry just make her excited and then see what she can do to you
She will she will rock you!!!"

All this while, she was busy dreaming about him. His simplicity made her fall for him. His honest confessions about love sound so true! She still dreams, worships his love, being totally unaware of his evil intentions. And of her friend's ugly instincts.

Friends, don't you think she deserves a better guy? And a far better friend? What should be the punishment for betrayal of friendship? What about love? Will anyone teach those guys a lesson on relationship? Or maybe teaching is a far cry. I believe in God. In honesty of feelings. WHAT GOES FROM YOU COMES BACK TO YOU ONE DAY. Right now, I'm rushing to the girl. Honesty prevails and true colors never fail to shine. I must tell her this.

For My Secret Admirer

(I just wonder if he's reading it!!!)

A sweet smile on my lips
A little red on my blushy cheeks
Is all I have for you
Words from you come like
A cool breeze freshened with life.
Every letter carries a single drop
Of love from your little corner.
My nights are brightened.
My dreams are filled with
Two curious eyes of imagination.
I can feel the pain of your heart
As I restlessly wait for your letters.
I feel full of life when you confess
The ever flowing emotions
Struggling nonstop in your heart.
I wanna believe so much
That you too have a heart like mine
Which flies free in the high sky.
I love to imagine your eyes
How much they are desperate to see me
Your lips must be full with honest passions
I can see them flowing in those words
And your heart - the perfect place
To stay secured and loved forever...
I offer my sincere feelings to you
My secret admirer...

Are You Lovers or Just Friends?

You two are best of buddies. You share every emotional tinge of your feelings with him/her - laughter, tears, anger, humor, happiness, sorrows. In every possible way, you share a much comfortable and candid relationship with your friend. With time, friendship grows freely and fully. With every single moment, your relationship deepens and feelings take a new turn. Over a period of time, you tend to ask yourself - is it just friendship or something beyond? You tend to develop feelings beyond friendship. Maybe you'll end up together. But this is what you feel. You are still unaware of your friend's feelings. You want to express your deepest feelings but at the same time you're scared of losing your long-harvested friendship. What if s/he retracts? Are you confused? Not yet ready to take the bold step? Think again about your feelings. Ask yourself the following questions.

1. Is your friend constantly in your mind throughout the day and night?
2. Do you wish to see him/her every single minute?
3. Is s/he the first person you want to share your thoughts whenever you're happy or sad?
4. Does his/her thought remind you of all the good things around you?
5. Do you dream of spending your life with that person?
6. Do you enjoy his/her company the most?
7. What do you feel when you see him/her with another companion? You go green with jealousy?
8. What if that person chooses a different companion to stay with forever? Can you live with it?
9. Do you feel on top of seventh heaven when s/he gives you utmost importance among other friends around?
10. Can you imagine life without him/her?

Ask your heart for the answers. Remember, your heart will never disappoint you. Now go ahead woth your heart. Take that bold step once and for all. Friendship or love, life is beautiful both ways!
